The Forest Service is having BIG
problems with:
|
Trash/dumping in
the forest |
|
ATVs being used on
hiking/biking/equestrian trails |
|
New trail
construction over sensitive soils and archeology sites |
|
If you see theses
happening or hear someone is doing this please notify the local ranger
district immediately with description of the person(s) location and what is
being done! This only takes limited time and money away from other
projects such as education, maintaining existing trails, and other
recreational opportunities

TRACS
Volunteer
Hours should be counted
Beginning January 1, 2004 all members of Tracs who work on trails (T),
patrol (P), pick up litter (L), or attend meetings (M), including the
preparation of the meeting and minutes, need to keep track of the hours they
spend doing the activity and relay this information to Karen Dansby
[email protected].
It is important that this information is kept for accuracy and completeness
so when the USFS is applying for grants that they can show that TRACS
volunteers have “in kind” hours! Please send Karen the type of activity (T,P,L,M), date, and number of hours
so it can be recorded. You can also contact her at any time to check
on the number of hours you have volunteered. Thanks a bunch!!!
